Throughout the year, members engage in projects to provide ongoing support to a variety of organizations, in our community and beyond, such as:

Community Impact Projects

Every two years, our club selects a project designed to have a positive impact on the lives of the Madison community. The club raises money through events and activities to fund that project. Learn more about these projects here.

Annual Grants/Disbursements

At the end of our club year each spring, our Disbursements Committee makes recommendations for how we can lend support to local organizations using the funds we’ve raised throughout the year.

In 2025, club members voted to give the following gifts:

• Donation for program support at ABC House, Madison A Better Chance program.
• Contribution towards the purchase of a defibrillator at American Legion Post 79 in Madison, which will be available for use by any groups using this space.
• Purchase of 4 rocking chairs to be placed on the porch at the Surf Club in Madison, for general use by all in the community.
• Donation to the Food Pantry at Madison Community Services to help address food insecurity in our community.
• Contribution towards Appalachia Youth Group Service Project, sponsoring a trip by young people in our community to an area devastated by Hurricane Helene to assist with home repairs. 16% of the households in the area experience poverty.

Scholarships

Each year, we present a scholarship to one or more graduating seniors at Daniel Hand High School in Madison. To learn more, click here.

We also give an annual gift to the music and arts department at Polson Middle School in Madison.

Participating in Our Community

We also love taking part in community-wide events, such as the annual Memorial Day and 4th of July Parades, “Trunk or Treat” for Halloween, our tag sale at the annual Lions Club Flea Market, “Green Up Clean Up” day in April. Check out our News page to see us in action!
