Annual Disbursements

At the end of our club year each spring, our Disbursements Committee makes recommendations for how we can lend support to local organizations using the funds we’ve raised throughout the year.

In 2026, club members voted to give the following gifts:

• Madison Arts Barn: Donation towards scholarships for their Robotics Program. Each year The Barn provides financial assistance to ensure Robotics participation remains accessible to students.
• Homes for the Brave: Donation of new kitchen cookware for their home, which provides transitional living for homeless veterans.
• Madison Hose Co., No. 1, Inc.: Donation towards the purchase of furniture for the department’s new addition that is being built which will house a training center.
• Madison Public School Art Classes: Purchase of 3 “Chomp Saws” which enable children to cut cardboard easily and safely. This tool enables students to design and create a wide range of projects.
• Madison Beach & Recreation Department: Purchase of a Water Bottle Filling Station for the Strong Center Field House at the Surf Club. It will be especially useful for summer camp, youth sports organizations, spectators, and visitors Also, a single filling station can save approximately 15,000 to 100,000 plastic bottles per year.
• Nite In Hand: Donation towards the annual Daniel Hand High School Graduation Celebration. This event provides a safe, alcohol-free venue to students to celebrate their graduation. They provide food, entertainment, and activities for the students.
• E. C. Scranton Memorial Library: A donation to support the library’s needs which include books, supplies, furniture, renovations, etc.
• Syd’s Book Shack: Donation towards purchase of a coin changer. Syd’s Book Shack and Boutique is a non-profit helping non-verbal people as well as providing vocational and social opportunities for people with disabilities. One of the vocational skills trainees learn is money/giving change skills and how to use a moment of sales system. A change making machine will aid in this process.
• Daniel Hand High School Vibe Show Choir: Donation to support this program which is a nationally competitive show chair. Maintaining this standard of excellence requires significant resources for travel, costumes, staging, music, choreography, and competition fees.
• Work Vessels for Vets – Patriot Fund: Donation towards this program which  adapts pieces of equipment to support the varied needs of any disabled Veterans. The mission is to provide the veterans with the necessary equipment for them to be able to start a business, work outside of their home, and to empower the veterans to rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

Community Impact Projects

Every two years, our club selects a project designed to have a positive impact on the lives of the Madison community. The club raises money through events and activities to fund that project. Learn more about these projects here.

Scholarships

Each year, we present a scholarship to one or more graduating seniors at Daniel Hand High School in Madison. To learn more, click here.

We also give an annual gift to the music and arts department at Polson Middle School in Madison.

Participating in Our Community

We also love taking part in community-wide events, such as the annual Memorial Day and 4th of July Parades, “Trunk or Treat” for Halloween, our tag sale at the annual Lions Club Flea Market, “Green Up Clean Up” day in April. Check out our News page to see us in action!
